„The Son“ of Jean-Pierre and Luc Darden is a film about crime and punishment:  about the father ‘s attitude towards his son's killer. This is a film with few words where every gaze, gesture or  movement is of great importance. Does the father forgive the murderer for the crime? The actor Olivier Gourmet was awarded the Golden Palm of the Cannes Film Festival for the  role as a father.
